Record deployment demonstrates how self-serve bar technology is transforming hospitality at scale

Butlin's has become the world's first holiday resort operator to deploy Boxbar's automated self-serve bar technology, completing a record rollout of 119 self-service bar points of sale across its three UK resorts.

Installed at Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness, the rollout represents the largest deployment of its kind anywhere around the globe.

Designed to increase bar service capacity, reduce queues and improve the guest experience, the installation introduces automated beverage dispensing across one of the UK's busiest and most operationally demanding leisure environments.

A self-serve bar network built for year-round operations, at scale

Holiday resorts present one of the most demanding operating environments in hospitality.

Unlike many venues, they trade almost every day of the year and for almost every hour of the day. Add multiple bars, diverse entertainment venues and dramatic peaks in demand during school holidays and headline events and festivals, and it's easy to see why traditional bar operations come under pressure.

To meet that challenge, Butlin's has deployed 119 Boxbar self-serve bar points of sale across its three resorts, creating a flexible network that can scale with guest demand throughout the year.

The deployment spans Boxbar's complete product portfolio, including:

• Boxbar TapWall permanent installations

By combining permanent and mobile self-service bar formats, Butlin's can support a wide variety of indoor and outdoor venues while retaining the flexibility to adapt to seasonal demand, Big Weekender festivals and changing operational requirements.

A full drinks menu, served in seconds

The rollout delivers far more than faster pints.

Across the three resorts, guests can choose from a full drinks menu featuring over 20 different products.

Each Boxbar point of sale can pour two drinks in as little as six seconds, giving the combined installation the capability to dispense hundreds of drinks every minute.

The technology has also been fully integrated into the Butlin's guest experience, including support for the resort's popular All Inclusive Drinks Package, allowing guests to access drinks through the same entitlement they already know and love.

Helping guests make more of their holiday

Butlin's is renowned for delivering one of the UK's most extensive entertainment programmes. From headline music acts and West End-style productions to family shows, fairground rides and the iconic Big Weekenders, there is always something happening.

People don't go on holiday to stand in a queue.
