Utilita Arena Sheffield introduce permanent self-service bar wall

We’re excited to announce that Boxbar Tech has delivered a brand new self-service bar wall at the Utilita Arena Sheffield. Following the success of introducing Boxbar mobile units earlier this year, the venue team wanted to take things further. Together with ASM Global, we’ve now created a permanent self-serve bar tap wall that is levelling up the experience for both customers and operators.
From Mobile to Permanent
In January 2025 we deployed nine mobile self-service bar points of sale across the arena. The feedback was clear: fans loved the speed, pouring quality and convenience of self-serve. The venue loved the efficiency and improved service flow. So when the chance came to deliver a permanent installation, it was an easy decision.
The Utilita Arena Sheffield’s new automated, self-service fixed bar wall features:
✅ 12 permanent points of sale
✅ 24 serving taps
✅ A fully customised installation that matches the venue aesthetic
✅ Designed, built and deployed by Boxbar Tech
✅ And the capacity to pour 2,880 pints per hour!
The bar wall is currently serving both draught beer and cider but comes with the flexibility to serve a full drinks menu*, providing great adaptability for a venue that hosts a wide range of events and audiences over the course of the year.
Looking Ahead
